Dom Ruinart, the oldest champagne brand in the world, has a theatrical, classic yet edgy approach to their brand. In 2008, Maison Ruinart invited Maarten Baas to design a collection to promote their newest champagne, launched that year. 

Baas created the Melted collection, an exclusive collection of champagne tableware. Dom Ruinart is both traditional and avant-garde. Baas represented this duality by picking the archetypical image of a chandelier and bucket that was once glorious and theatrical, and metamorphosed them into melted new forms.
